Terms of Service

Peerie Eats is a food ordering and delivery platform serving Shetland. We connect customers with local restaurants and arrange pickup or delivery of their orders.

When you place an order, you enter into a contract with the restaurant preparing your food. Peerie Eats acts as the platform and handles payment, communication, and (for delivery orders) logistics on the restaurant’s behalf.

Prices, availability, and opening hours are set by each restaurant and may change without notice. We’ll always show you the final price before you pay.

Once a restaurant has accepted your order they begin preparing your food, so we cannot guarantee a cancellation. If something goes wrong with your order — items missing, food not as described, long delays — get in touch and we’ll work with the restaurant to put it right, including refunds where appropriate.

Allergen information is provided by each restaurant. If you have a severe allergy, please contact the restaurant directly before ordering to confirm. Peerie Eats cannot guarantee that any item is free of cross-contamination.

Restaurants on Peerie Eats are responsible for the food they prepare, accurate menu and allergen information, hygiene standards, and meeting their stated prep times.

We do our best to keep the service running smoothly, but we can’t accept liability for losses that aren’t a direct result of our negligence. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

These terms are governed by Scottish law and any disputes will be handled by the courts of Scotland.
